The Fairborn High School Project Lead the Way biomedical sciences class, taught by Amanda Spirk, recently visited the Soin emergency department, where students learned how the department works from when patients enter to when they leave. They asked questions and learned about jobs available to them now as well as what the most in-demand jobs are currently. The program prepares students for career readiness starting in high school. The program helps students build knowledge and skills in biomedical sciences, as well as in-demand skills such as problem solving, critical thinking, creative thinking, communication and collaboration.
