Storage facility plans move forward

FAIRBORN — The vacant lot on 224 E. Dayton Yellow Springs Road is one step closer to becoming a self-storage facility.

In May, Fairborn City Council approved a resolution from Cobblestone Capital to purchase and renovate the lot, turning it into a Storage Sense facility for residents. According to the county auditor’s website, Cobblestone Capital purchased the lot for $3 million in August.

The lot has been vacant for several years, and city council was eager to put the land to good use with this storage facility project.

Storage Sense is a self-storage facility organization with locations all across the United States.

A timeline for the storage facility is yet to be determined, but this sale moves the project forward into the next phase.
