FAIRBORN — Fairborn will be hosting its sixth annual Bluegrass and Brew festival starting at 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4.

The first of three bands playing will kick off at 6 p.m., with Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers. The Radio Ramblers were named 2019’s Entertainers of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA).

The Slocan Ramblers are scheduled to begin their set at 7:15 p.m. The Slocan Ramblers were nominated for the Juno Award in 2019 and earned the Momentum Band of the Year in 2020, an award given to new bands in the early years of their careers showing an exceptional level of potential.

The headlining band, The Travelin’ McCourys, are set to begin at 8:30 p.m. The Travelin’ McCourys have collaborated with big names in bluegrass like Phish and String Cheese Incident. The band also created a Grateful Dead tribute, the Grateful Ball.

Food trucks will be available for guests, as well as a beer garden with craft and domestic brews for those 21 and older.

The event will take place at 103 W. Main Street with free parking available on the side of the streets in the downtown area.
