Greenewood Manor, which has stood the test of time for 200 years, was demolished recently. The land has been cleared and is ready for development. The demolition project took nearly five weeks to complete and was paid for with general fund money.

The leveled ground of the former Greenewood Manor, which permanently closed in May 2021 after its contents were auctioned off, was recently demolished by Fillmore Construction for a cost of $167,878.

Acres of cleared ground is all that is left of the historic Greenewood Manor, which has been the site of a “poor house,” infirmary, and a nursing home during its 200-year existence.
