FAIRBORN — Local McDonald’s franchise operators Benny and Stacy Scott were honored with the prestigious 2022 Fred L. Turner Golden Arch Award (GAA) during the fast-food chain’s world wide convention in Orlando earlier this month, with company president Joe Erlinger in attendance.

The GAA celebrates the top 1 percent of McDonald’s operators who, according to a press release issued by the company, “deliver a superior customer and employee experience, while also passionately giving back to the community.”

Along with being quite active in the area community, the Scotts own McDonald’s on Broad Street, Kauffman, and Colonel Glenn Highway in Fairborn.

Since becoming a member of the McDonald’s family, Benny has taken on the role of owner/operator national advertising representative for the McDonald’s corporation and has been awarded the Piqua Chamber Business Person of the Year Award and the Ray Kroc Award.

Benny’s wife and partner, Stacy, have been involved with McDonald’s since marrying Benny more than two decades ago.

“They are proud to be involved with McDonald’s and grateful for all the dedicated and hardworking employees that are part of their great team,” according to the press release. “The couple believes it is important to give back to local communities and help support local charities and schools.”

In addition to the couple’s shared chairs on various regional boards and committees, Stacy has been recognized individually for her service with the Salvation Army’s William Booth Service Award and the Miami County Woman of Excellence Award.
