FAIRBORN — UPDATE: Suspect William “Tony” Rivers has taken into custody by Miami Township Police on suspicion of committing several area bank robberies, including the US Bank on Main St. Fairborn, according to Fairborn police.
According to an FPD spokesperson, a man entered the Fairborn branch of US Bank just before 3:30 p.m. Monday afternoon. The bank is located at 1 West Main Street in Fairborn. The initial investigation indicated that after entering the bank, the suspect presented a note demanding money, and then left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The FPD would “like to thank all those who provided information leading to his arrest, as well as our local law enforcement partners who participated in this investigation,” they said.

Fairborn police have identified William “Tony” Rivers as a person of interest in a bank robbery that took place on Main Street in Fairborn Monday.
Police identified Rivers as a suspect Tuesday afternoon, with a warrant for his arrest.
