Rams win bowling tri-match

JAMESTOWN — Greeneview High’s girls varsity bowling team won a tri-match over Chillicothe and Clinton-Massie earlier this week. The Rams scored a 2,011 team score, followed by Chillicothe (1,974) and Clinton-Massie (1,756). Anna Willingham led the Rams with high games of 225 and 183. The Rams overall record is now 5-2, and they’re 1-2 in the Ohio Heritage Conference.

Skyhawks fall to Troy

TROY — Natalie Oktavec led Fairborn with a team-best 19 points, but host Troy recorded a 43-33 win Dec. 16 in a girls high school basketball game. Other scorers for the Skyhawks were Cassidy Mustard and Jodee Martin with five points each, and Miyu Williams with four. The Trojans were led by Tia Bass with a game-high 21.

Pirates down Xenia Warner

WEST CARROLLTON — Aidan Solis led Xenia Warner’s eighth grade boys basketball team with 13 points, Maurice Pigue scored nine, and Trenton Lee and Alijah Withers scored eight apiece in a 54-47 loss to host West Carrollton. The Warner Bucs travel to Sidney for their next game on Wednesday, Dec. 18.

Greeneview MS wrestlers seventh

BLANCHESTER The Greeneview Middle School wrestling team competed against 12 other teams and finished in seventh place at a meet in Blanchester. Jett Daniels led the the Rams with three wins by pin as he was the 160-pound champion. Kyan Hendricks also was the champion of his weight class and was undefeated on the day with two pins. Gavin Henry had three wins with one pin as he placed third. T.J. Stinson contributed two wins as he also placed third. The Rams also had three girls place fourth in their weight classes. Tessa Allen had two wins with one pin as she placed fourth. Eve Matt had a pin on her way to a fourth-place finish. Gwen Matt had a major decision (a win by eight points) as she also placed fourth. The wrestling team is back in action Jan. 8 when they host Northeastern and Northwestern in a home tri match.

Rams middlers split with West Jeff

JAMESTOWN — The Greeneview Middle School seventh- and eighth-grade boys and girls basketball teams split their respective games with Ohio Heritage Conference foe West Jefferson recently. In the seventh-grade games, the boys defeated West Jeff by a 37-22 score, with Alex Horney leading the Rams with 15 points. The seventh-grade girls fell to West Jefferson by a 34-9 tally.

In the eighth-grade contests, the boys lost, 62-15, while the girls won 31-18. Kinley Saunders and Eryn Gardner led the girls team with eight points each.

Rams offering youth cheerleading camp

JAMESTOWN — Ever thought about performing with the Greeneview High School cheerleaders at a varsity boys basketball game? Now is your chance. There will be a youth camp (for kids in kindergarten through sixth grade) on Jan 8, 9, and 11 and then halftime performance on Jan 11 during halftime of the varsity game at the High School. Camp form is available on the website under Resources. Cost is $25, which includes a T-shirt if signed up by Jan 8.

Dragons hosting Nitro Circus

DAYTON — Tickets for the May 15 Nitro Circus “You Got This” tour will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Dec. 6 at the following locations:

The “You Got This” Tour will feature a highly decorated roster of top international athletes who together hold over 25 X Games medals combined. Leading the charge is the multi-talented Ryan Williams, who earlier this year completed an unprecedented X Games trifecta after taking three consecutive BMX Big Air golds, the first athlete ever to do so.

Jarryd McNeil, a 15-time X Games medalist, eight-time gold medalist Adam Jones, four-time gold medalist Vicki Golden and X Games veteran Beau Bamburg are scheduled to perform, along with pro skateboarder Beaver Fleming and BMX rider Kurtis Downs, among others.

The appearance on May 15 will mark the first-ever performance in Dayton for Nitro Circus.

Race tickets now on sale at Mid-Ohio

LEXINGTON — Tickets are now on sale for five major motorsports events to be held at the famed Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course during the 2020 racing season.

GABP Clubhouse tours available

CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame & Museum presented by Dinsmore is once again offering off-season clubhouse tours of Great American Ball Park. The two-hour Major League Clubhouse Tours include the Reds and visitor’s clubhouses, visitor’s dugout and more exclusive areas.

Tours are available each Saturday at 12:30 and 2:30 p.m. The tours run weekly until March 14, 2020. The Clubhouse Tour also includes admission to the newly-renovated Reds Museum.
