Greene County News

XENIA — Greene Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will again be decorating a large Christmas tree which located in the main entrance of Greene Memorial Hospital.

This continuing tradition provides an opportunity to honor a loved one or a friend in a very special way or to remember someone who has passed away.

A white ornament with the name of the individual you wish to honor will be hung on the tree.

If the honoree is living, the ornament will be hung with a blue ribbon, if deceased, a white ribbon, and for those who are currently or have previously served in the Armed Forces, a gold ribbon.

For a donation of $5 (or more) each ornament will have the name of the individual honored. The decorated tree will be in place during the entire holiday season.

The GMH Auxiliary provides funding for many projects at the hospital. Recently funds have been donated to make the surgery waiting area more pleasant, white boards have been placed in each patient room along with colorful framed pictures for the benefit of each patient.
