FAIRBORN — The Fairborn City School District has narrowed down its superintendent candidates from nine to three.
Candidates include Mark North, superintendent of Lebanon City Schools; Kirk Koennecke, principal of Marion Harding High School and Brad Ritchey, director of school improvement of Parma City Schools.
Interviews with each candidate will take place on three separate days, in which community members are invited to meet and greet the potential superintendents.
North will be interviewed Feb. 29, Koennecke will be interviewed March 1 and Ritchey will be interviewed March 2. Each will meet with the board at 4:15 p.m. on those days at the Board of Education office, 306 E. Whittier Ave.
FCS started its search with more than 20 candidates, but it was narrowed down to nine following the latest regular board meeting, Thursday, Feb. 4. These candidates underwent interviews last week, leading to the three current candidates.
