Suspect arrested after breaking and entering incidents

FAIRBORN — Darius Shields, 22, of Fairborn has been charged with two counts of breaking and entering, felonies of the fifth degree, and is now housed at the Fairborn Jail.

The charges came after the Fairborn Police Department received two complaints regarding breaking and entering incidents, as well as two complaints regarding attempted breaking and entering events, Tuesday, Jan. 26 from downtown businesses. Shields allegedly stole a cash register from a business, but it was later recovered.

Shields was arrested Friday, Jan. 29 for receiving stolen property, which is an unrelated warrant, and is a felony of the fifth degree.
