GREENE COUNTY — The deadline to register to vote in the Nov. 3 General Election is Oct. 5. Important dates to remember for this election are outlined below.

Three statewide issues, as well as many local issues and candidates will be on the ballot in Greene County. More information on the state ballot issues can be found at the Ohio Secretary of State’s website. More information on local issues and candidates can be obtained at the Greene County Board of Elections website.

Register to vote, address updates

The deadline to register to vote in the Nov. 3 General Election is Oct. 5 (30 days before the election). Voter registration forms are available at MyOhioVote.com. Voters who need to update their address also have until Oct. 5 and can also do so online.

Military and overseas voting

Ballots for military and overseas voters became available on Sept. 19. Military voters who have not yet registered to vote or submitted a request for an absentee ballot may still do so by visiting OhioMilitaryVotes.com or OhioVoterPassport.com for overseas voters.

Those voters can download the Federal Post Card Application, register to vote and request an absentee ballot, read through frequently asked questions, track the status of their mailed ballot and sign up for election reminders via email and social media. Such voters can also contact their county board of elections directly for more information.

Absentee voting by mail and in-person

Ohio voters may begin casting absentee ballots on Oct. 6 (first day after the close of registration) in-person and by mail. For more information, visit MyOhioVote.com.
