Barlow to speak at chamber lunch

BEAVERCREEK – The Beavercreek Chamber of Commerce will host lunch with Wright State University Aerospace Professional Development Center Executive Director Dr. Cassie Barlow 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15 of Beavercreek Golf Club.

Dr. Barlow will speak about workforce development in our region and her work at Wright State University.

Cassie B. Barlow joined the Wright State Research Institute (WSRI) in 2014 as Executive Director of the Wright State University Aerospace Professional Development Center (APDC) at Wright State University, and shortly thereafter assumed a dual role when she was named Executive Director of the Center for Workforce Devleopment at Wright State University and The Advanced Technical Intelligence Center (ATIC). She also is the oversight manager for the Regional STEM Collaborative.

She was the 88th Air Base Wing and Installation Commander, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, prior to joining WSRI. In that role, she commanded one of the largest air base wings in the Air Force with more than 5,000 Air Force military, civilian, and contractor employees.

Dr. Barlow was commissioned in 1988 as a distinguished graduate of Georgetown University, Washington D.C. Following graduation, she attended Information Management Technical School at Keesler Air Force Base, Miss.

The cost for this event is $16 for members and $21 for non-members/walk-ins and includes a buffet lunch. Reservations and cancellations must be received by 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 14. There is a small amount of expo tables available at this event. Cost is $40 and includes one lunch. For more information or to register call 937-426-2202.
