GCCOA to host estate planning classes

XENIA — Estate planning can be a complicated process but the Greene County Council on Aging can help.

Every Tuesday from March 7-28, the council will hold estate planning information sessions from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Xenia Community Center, 1265 W. Second Street.

According to the GCCOA staff, this four-week course — “It’s My Money, My Stuff and My Life” — provides an opportunity to start or continue estate planning for your future. No matter your age or level of financial resources, this course will jump start your plan.

March 7 — taking the first step with Jerry Mahan, retired extension educator, and how the GCCOA can be of service with Karen Puterbaugh, GCCOA.

March 14 — assets, wills, and advanced directives with David Peterson, attorney.

March 21 — how Does Insurance Fit In with Matthew Bennett and Andrew Thielman, Bellbrook Insurance Agency, LLC.

March 28 — probate and taxes with Dave Cusack, attorney.

Cost for the course is $40 per household which includes a binder, program materials, and box suppers. Contact the council for a registration form or download it from its website. Completed forms and payment must be received by Monday, Feb. 27 to reserve your spot.
