CEDARVILLE —In order to get a jump on a weather forecast of plenty of rain, the Great Midwest Athletic Conference softball tournament is getting under way Wednesday May 3 at the Athletes In Action Sports Complex in Xenia.
Cedarville is the No. 1 seed in the G-MAC Softball Tournament..
The Lady Jackets (30-15 overall, 21-4 G-MAC) will play No. 6 Malone (18-30-1, 10-16 G-MAC) at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday May 3.
The three-day, six-team tournament was initially scheduled to begin on Thursday. However, a rainy forecast for the latter part of the week moved the event up a day.
Wednesday’s opener takes place at 2:30 p.m. when No. 2 Kentucky Wesleyan (34-20, 18-8 G-MAC) takes on No. 5 Ursuline (17-20, 10-12 G-MAC).
