Evening Silhouette Painting

Students aged 5 years and elder will have the opportunity to apply acrylic black paint into a canvas, spreading blues and purples on the background, while adding a moon and stars and later using black or white paint to create a silhouette. Event organizers suggest dressing children in old clothing as acrylic paint will create stains. All supplies are included in the $15 fee. It will be instructed by Terri Perkins, owners of Terri Lynn Art Studio and Gallery, 415 W. Main Street, and will take place 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 23 at the art studio. Interested individuals must register by Wednesday, March 22.

Step into spring in Fairborn Parks — Woodland Life

An Ohio Certified Volunteer naturalist will lead individuals through Fairborn’s Cold Springs Reserve to explore and learn about the natural environment. It takes place 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 29 at Cold Springs Reserve, 760 Black Lane. It is expected to conclude before noon.

The Fairborn Parks and Recreation Division has already started planning April events including “Family Fun Easter Egg Decorating,” slated for Thursday, April 13; “Celebrate World Earth Day – Invasive Garlic Mustard Removal” slated for Saturday April 22 as well as “Hawks Woodland Walk” grand opening event, slated for Saturday, April 29.
