Safe Communities receives grant

XENIA — Greene County Safe Communities Coalition has received a $1000 Helping Hands Grant through the Allstate Foundation and agent Scott Pauley of Xenia.

This amount will be added to a $500 donation for a total of $,1500 to be awarded to Fairborn High School for winning the 2016 High School Fall Seat Belt Challenge with 100 percent of its students buckled.

The award will be presented to the entire 2017 senior class and administrators of Fairborn High School 9 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 8. Safe Communities Coalition members, community leaders, and sponsors will also be in attendance to celebrate the award.
