YELLOW SPRINGS — Public radio station WYSO 91.3FM is pleased to announce two new members of its staff.

Jess Mador has joined the station as managing editor and economic reporter. Her reporting will be heard during drive time, on NPR’s Morning Edition and All Things Considered.

Mador comes to WYSO from Knoxville NPR-station WUOT, where she created an interactive multimedia health storytelling project called TruckBeat, one of 15 projects around the country participating in AIR’s Localore: #Finding America initiative.

Before TruckBeat, Mador was an independent public radio journalist based in Minneapolis. She’s also worked as a staff reporter and producer at Minnesota Public Radio in the Twin Cities and produced audio, video and web stories for a variety of other news outlets, including NPR News, APM and PBS television stations.

Arick Mittler is WYSO’s new Business Manager. A Wright State University graduate, he managed the Dayton Holocaust Resource Center. Before joining the WYSO team, he managed business operations for a Dayton area utility company for seven years.

“Arick Mittler and Jess Mador bring energy, enthusiasm and expertise to WYSO,” said WYSO General Manager Neenah Ellis. “They strengthen our team and bring new ideas to keep WYSO fresh and innovative.”
