FAIRBORN — Jarelle Plummer, 23, died Sunday evening, sparking a homicide investigation by the Fairborn Police.
Dispatch received a call approximately 8:41 p.m. in regards to noises coming from a nearby apartment, as well as a panicked woman running outside of the building, located on the 100 block of West Dayton-Yellow Springs Road.
“I don’t know if someone is hurt or what,” the first caller said.
Dispatch received second call from a female who said she was wearing the same outfit as the woman described in the first call, which indicated that she found Plummer inside the apartment surrounded by blood with a gun on the table. She told dispatchers that she was on the phone with Plummer, heard noises and other voices and decided to pay him a visit, which is when she found him on the ground. She said she was outside close to a nearby business when she made the call.
When officers arrived, they found Plummer inside an apartment suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital, where he would pass away due to his injuries.
No suspects have been identified. The incident is still being investigated.
