County libraries host a variety of monthly event

GREENE COUNTY — The Greene County Community Libraries will hold a variety of programs for the month of November. Some programs require registration. The following library programs are planned:

Yellow Springs

Yellow Springs Community Library is located at 415 Xenia Ave. Call 937-352-4003.

Coffee Tasting with Telemetry Coffee Roasters for adults, 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5. Find out how the quality of water interacts with the coffee bean and how it affects the taste of your coffee. There will be coffee to taste. Registration required.

Bookish Bingo will be held at the Yellow Springs Community Library at 3-4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8. We’re celebrating novel-writing month by playing Book Bingo. Prizes and snacks for all.

Tweens Read: Olives Ocean for grades 4-6 will be held at the Yellow Springs Community Library at 3-4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9. Pick up a copy ahead of time at the desk, read it, come to the program and it’s your to keep! This month we’re reading Olive’s Ocean by Kevin Henkes. A story about life, death, friendship & growing up. Newberry Honor 2004. Snacks provided.

Red Scarf Project for adults, 6-8 p.m. Thursdays, Nov. 10, 17. Join the library to make a red scarf for Foster Care To Success, which sends Valentine’s care packages to college students who aged out of foster care. The library will provide the guidelines at the meeting. Registration required.

Igo Ghost Story Walking Tour for adults, 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12. Walk with Robin Heise of Yellow Springs Heritage as she tells Harold Igo’s ghost stories that he wrote for the Yellow Springs News in 1943. Registration required.

One-on-One Tech Tutoring for adults, 1-2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14. and Nov. 17. Register for a one-on-one tech tutoring session with a librarian. Talk to a librarian and schedule a different date and time if these don’t work with your schedule. Registration required.

Book Trivia Challenge, 3:-3:45 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15. Join a team and see if you know your book characters. Trivia questions about plots and characters from popular books. There will be snacks and prizes.
