FAIRBORN — The lady Skyhawks playing on Fairborn’s girls basketball teams are getting to know the community just before the season begins.

The Fairborn Skyhawk Youth Basketball Teams, Baker Middle School seventh and eigth grade teams, Fairborn High School Junior Varsity team and the Fairborn High School Varsity team will be introduced to the community during “Meet the Teams Night” 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5 at Fairborn Baker Middle School, 200 Lincoln Avenue, within the gymnasium.

The event, which is the first of its kind for the lady Skyhawks, will allow the local players to demonstrate their skills and love for the game, even allowing the spectators to compete against each other to “elevate the fun”, according to a flyer for the event.

“Meet the Teams Night” will also allow for a 50/50 raffle, opportunities to win prizes and concession stands opened to serve refreshments.

The Fairborn High School girls basketball teams will face off against Beavercreek High School 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28 at Beavercreek High School. The team will play on their own home turf for the first time of the season against Lebanon High School 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30.
