CLIFTON —The Clifton Opera House will welcome attorney-turned-musician Matthew Ball, also known as The Boogie Woogie Kid.
The boogie/blues/ragtime and swing pianist performance is slated to take place 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21 at the Clifton Opera House, 5 S. Clay St.
With more than 3.5 million youtube views and counting of his past performance and home video footage, Ball is an international phenomenon that has distinguished himself as one of the nation’s leading practitioners of the American piano traditions known as boogie-n-blues, ragtime and jazz.
The concert is slated to include virtuosic toe-tapping piano favorites from the 20s, 30s and 40s, such as “Swanee River,” “In the Mood,” “The Entertainer,” “Bumble Boogie,” “Amazing Grace” and more.
