XENIA – Greene Memorial Hospital will host a Medicare symposium to better help seniors understand the changes to Medicare and Medicare Part D.

The community outreach seminar will be held 5:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4 at the hospital, 1141 N. Monroe Drive.

A speaker from the Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP) will present information about Medicare and the prescription drug benefits for 2017.

“Because each year there are changes we felt it was important to offer information to the community that helps them understand those changes and have an opportunity to ask questions before the enrollment deadline,” said Kettering Health Network Community Outreach Coordinator Tonya Chambers.

In addition to traditional Medicare, Kettering has partnered with several Medicare Advantage Plans to provide access to our trusted network of care: Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Buckeye Health Plan, CareSource, Human Health Plan of Ohio, MediGold, Molina, and United Health Care. These providers will be present with informational displays and experts to answer questions

“We want to give our community members as much information as possible to best understand their health insurance options,” added Chambers.

Registration is requested but not required. Call 937-558-3988 for additional information.
