BEAVERCREEK — The Rev. Kenneth Daniel dropped the ball big time Friday.

Actually he dropped the balls. But it’s OK.

The president and CEO of United Church Homes went 30 feet in the air at Beavercreek Golf Club and dropped a bucket of golf balls on the 18th fairway to mark the organization’s 100th year of service before its golf outing Friday. The golfer the ball belonged to won a $1,000 AAA gift certificate.

Eighty golfers were expected to participate in the charity event, which benefits United Church Homes’ new Ruth Frost Parker Center for Abundant Aging, an innovative new Center that seeks to infuse the work in aging services with wisdom, creativity and forward thinking.

United Church Homes operates three senior living and healthcare communities in Greene County – Trinity Community of Beavercreek, Patriot Ridge Community in Fairborn, and Trinity Community at Fairwood. Collectively, these three communities serve approximately 350 seniors in a variety of residential accommodations, including market-rate apartments, independent living, assisted living and skilled nursing services.
