FAIRBORN — The residents at Wright Nursing and Rehabilitation entered 15 pieces of arts and crafts to be showcased at the Montgomery County Fair.
The Fair offers a category for nursing home residents to enter pieces and compete. Residents competed in fine and household arts.
Wright Nursing and Rehabilitation officials are proud to announce all of its winners:
Sandra Weaver won first place and overall best of show in household arts with her croqueted items; Tammy Klanschmidtke won a first place award in fine arts with her wooden horses, first place award in household arts with a basket made with material and appliqué, as well as an honorable mention in a drawing; Linda Skaggs won a first place award with painting; Cheryl Ferrell won a first place award with a painting by using a combination technique.
Many residents, including Polly Omeara, Kathy Lowrie, Connie Davis, Wendell Hoskins and Nelleen Kaylor won various other ribbons. Wright Nursing and Rehabilitation held a reception to recognize all of its residents and congratulates all its winners.
