FAIRBORN — A former Fairborn High School band director pleaded guilty to two felony counts of sexual battery in Greene County Common Pleas Court.

Robert Bass, 54, of Mason, was accused in April of an alleged inappropriate relationship with a then-17-year-old female band student in 1996. After an investigation by the Fairborn Police Department, Bass pleaded to the third-degree felonies and later resigned as band director at Mason High School in Warren County.

According to a release from the FPD, Mason is out on bond and awaiting sentencing.
