Drivers to be detoured throughout next week

FAIRBORN — Commuters utilizing a number of Fairborn roadways will need to plan for detours within the next week.

Tuesday, Aug. 16

– Beaver Valley Road will receive repairs between Autumn Creek and New Germany-Trebein Road. The repairs starts Tuesday, Aug. 16, through Wednesday, Aug. 17 and possibly Thursday, Aug. 18. These repairs call for Beaver Valley Road to be closed to northbound traffic, or commuters entering Fairborn, for the duration of the construction.

Detour information: Drivers will be re-routed via detour signs posted at Old Yellow Springs Road and Dayton-Yellow Springs Road. Southbound traffic will not be impacted.

Wednesday, Aug. 17

– The final repairs scheduled for the week involve Trebein Road between Commerce Center Boulevard and Dayton-Yellow Springs Road. Repairs will start Wednesday, Aug. 17 until Friday, Aug. 19. The repairs are considered minor: the street division is replacing asphalt.

Detour information: Traffic will be permitted in both directions at a cautionary speed.

Subject to change

The City of Fairborn reminds community members that repair dates and times are subject to weather conditions, as with most outdoor work, and may be adjusted accordingly. City officials ask that drivers be cautious of repair crews in the roadway while driving. Questions regarding the roadwork may be responded to by calling 937-754-3098.
