Xenia sixth graders claim title
FRANKLIN — The Xenia Buccaneers sixth grade girls volleyball team claimed first place at Kingdom Sports Center with a league record of 11-1. The nine players (Aryanna Dyamond, Jadan Clark, Madyson Ackerman, Ally Vandergriff, Kendall Knisely, Alaigha Gore, Brynna Mardis, Haley McManus and Jada McAvene, had trained since January for summer league play, and received coaching from Xenia High School coach Kyle Gray, assistant coach Jamie Hand and junior varsity coach Clayton Brady. The team also attended a clinic in Yellow Springs. The Buccaneers team was coached by head coach Bob Glaser and assistants Brady, Todd McManus, Brian Vandergriff and Travis McAvene.
