Xenia Scouts defeat Hamilton Joes on the road

HAMILTON — The Xenia Scouts rallied from a 1-0 second-inning deficit by plating four runs in the third inning, then tacking another run in the fourth, to hand the host Hamilton Joes a 5-2 loss, Thursday night at Foundation Field.

With the win, Xenia is now 25-13 and in sole possession of first place in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League’s South Division. Hamilton had been tied with the Scouts for first, but now has a 24-14 record.

The two teams are scheduled to play at 7:05 p.m. Friday at Grady’s Field, which is located in the Athletes In Action Sports Complex, for their final regular season meeting of the 2016 campaign.
