Staff Report
U.S. Paralympics Track & Field runner Grace Norman, of Jamestown, could be among the athletes featured at 11 p.m. tonight when scenes from the U.S. Paralympic Trials will be broadcast on NBCSN.
Norman, one of two national athletes who will represent Team USA in both Track and Field, and the Paratriathlon, competed in the women’s T44 category in the 200- and 400-meter runs, qualifying to the Rio games in the 400. While she qualified in the 200 as well, she gave up that position so that another paralympian could also compete in Rio.
Norman leaves Wednesday for Rotterdam, Netherlands to compete in the World Paratriathlon Championships, which will take place on Sunday.
