XENIA Exciting and fun programs for people of all ages are being planned at the Xenia Community Library.The library is located at 76 E. Market St. To register or to learn more about these programs call 937-352-4000.

Zumba for Tweens and Teens Ages 10-18, 4-4:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 1 and 3-3:30 p.m. Monday, June 20.

On Your Mark Get Set READ – Summer Reading Kickoff Party 12-6 p.m. Wednesday, June 1. Celebrate the start of summer by signing up for the Summer Reading Program! Get a jump-start on your reading log with special events throughout the day.

Cell Phone Bag for adults, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 1. Make a fabric cell phone bag. The class has a limit of 4, but a few additional spots are available to those who can bring their own sewing machines. Registration is required.

Get In the Game Read Kickoff Party for Teens Ages 10-18, 3-4:45 p.m.Thursday, June 2. Kickoff your summer at the library by signing up for the Summer Reading Program and by enjoying games, crafts, and pizza.

Maker Fridays, 1:30-3 p.m. Friday, June 3, 10, 17, 24. Experiment with new technology as well as low tech making options.

Baby Story Time Ages 0-24 months with adult, 10:30-11 a.m. Friday, June 3, 10, 17, 24.

Astronaut Fitness Ages 6 and over, 10:30-11:15 a.m. Monday, June 6. Staff from the Armstrong Air & Space Museum will share how astronauts train for missions and maintain their health during months in space, and demonstrate the challenges of moving in space while wearing an Apollo-era spacesuit.

Adult Essential Oils Class, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, June 6.

Early Bookworms Ages K-3, 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 7. Read the book prior to the program and then attend the program for a rereading with fun learning activities.

Introduction to 3D Design Ages 14 and up, 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 7 and 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 18. Learn the basics for 3D design and create their own three-dimensional object. Registration required.

Summer Story Time Ages 2-6, 10:30-11 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 14, 21, 28.

Yoga for Tweens and Teens Ages 10-18, 2-2:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 8. A yoga mat, towel, or sticky socks are recommended but not required to participate.

Book Club for adults, 10:15-11:45 a.m. Friday, June 10.

Raspberry Pi Demonstration, 3-5 p.m. Friday, June 10 and 5-7 p.m. Monday, July 11. The Raspberry Pi is a credit card-sized computer that plugs into your TV and a keyboard. It can be used in electronics projects, playing HD video and for running software you’d see on a desktop PC.

Father’s Day Cards for Kids, 2-4 p.m. Saturday, June 11.

Genealogy Resources Using Computers, Adults only, 1-4 p.m. Saturday, June 11. The class will teach you how to use popular online genealogy resources for your family research. Registration required.

Composition and Post-It Set for adults, 5:30-7:15 p.m. Monday, June 13. Make a beautiful, personalized composition notebook and matching post-it set to keep or give as a gift. Registration required.

Create Your Own 3D Cookie Cutter Ages 10-18, 2-3:30 p.m. Monday, June 13. Join us to create your own cookie cutter using online 3D design tools. Create it and pick up later in the week. Registration required.

Stand Against Violence, A Rwandan Genocide Survivor Speaks, 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 14. Theo Makombe, author of the book The Race for Life: Memoirs of a Rwandan Genocide Survivor, will speak about the violence that ripped his country apart and how Americans can make a stand against violence in the US. Having seen the effects of violence on both victims and perpetrators, he is passionate about stopping hatred and prejudice where it starts.

Ready, Set, Juggle, 11-11:45 a.m. Wednesday, June 15. Come out to see this amazing juggling show.

Introduction to 3D Printing, 5-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 15 and 2-3:30 p.m. Saturday, July 9. Experience the basics of 3D printing in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Learn what 3D printing can and can’t do. Registration required.

Song Sandwich, 2-2:45 p.m. Thursday, June 16. Part sing-along, part storytelling, this musical performance by The Cooking Caravan is guaranteed to fill your belly with laughter.

Chef Battle Ages 10-18, 4:00-5:00 p.m. Thursday, June 16. Join Cooking Caravan Chefs as they square off in a culinary competition that features audience members as sous chefs and judges.

Zumba For Kids Ages 4-12, 2-2:30p.m. Monday, June 20.

Adult Patriotic Card Class, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, June 20. Use paper flowers to create a stunning 4th of July card. Two other patriotic cards will be made as well. Registration required.

Creative Movement Ages 2-6, 11-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 21. Join the library staff to stretch, bounce, wiggle and have fun.

Ready, Set, Draw Ages 8 and up, 4-5 p.m. Tuesday, June 21. Learn to draw in a few easy steps.

Mark Wood Fun Show, 10:30-11:15 a.m. Wednesday, June 22.

On Your Mark – Get Set – Lego Ages 6-12, 12-1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 29. Use the library Legos to build cool things with friends.

Minecraft Mania Ages 8-14, 2-3 p.m. Thursday, June 30. Games, crafts, and a snack all based on everyone’s favorite brick building game. Registration required.
