Seven new volunteers for the Greene County Juvenile Court’s Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Program were recently sworn in. Pictured are (left to right): Kathleen Kiser of Xenia, Jan Schoolcraft of Beavercreek, Jan Stewart of Beavercreek, Kathy Keller of Beavercreek, Judge Adolfo Tornichio, Carmella Carroll of Bellbrook, Tammy Detty of Xenia and Jennifer Wilcox of Beavercreek.
CASA volunteers serve as the “eyes and ears” for the judge in juvenile cases, gathering relevant information about the child and the family before making recommendations to the judge. The seven volunteers completed 36 hours of training and three hours of court observation.
