Pedestrian killed crossing Colonel Glenn Highway

BEAVERCREEK — A Greene County man died after being struck by a vehicle on Colonel Glenn Highway Wednesday night.

According to a release from Beavercreek police, Daniel Roberts, 55, was struck while walking south across the roadway by a vehicle traveling east. The incident reportedly occurred at about 9 p.m. at the 3900 block of Colonel Glenn Highway between Grange Hall and Zink roads.

According to Beavercreek Police Captain Eric Grile, Roberts “was not in a marked crosswalk” when he was hit. Roberts was transported to Soin Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

“It is unknown at this time if alcohol was a factor, as the crash remains under investigation,” the release stated.

The driver of the vehicle was not reported injured.
