XENIA — An alleged Fairborn heroin dealer was sentenced to three years in prison Wednesday. Robert Alderson III, 43, was sentenced for four charges, including trafficking in heroin and money laundering charges, as part of a plea agreement.

According to Greene County ACE Task Force Director Bruce May, Alderson was a “mid to larger street-level type dealer” who had operated in the Fairborn area for about the last five years.

“He was very problematic in Fairborn,” May said.

Alderson was originally indicted in Greene County Common Pleas Court on ten felony charges in August 2015, including an engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity charge, a conspiracy to engage in a pattern of corrupt activity charge, heroin possession and trafficking charges as well as money laundering charges. Six of the counts were dismissed as part of the plea deal.

Both Alderson and his attorney Jimmie Christon declined to speak during Alderson’s sentencing hearing before Judge Michael Buckwalter on Wednesday.

Alderson was also sentenced to serve five years in prison in 2010 for felony cocaine trafficking charges in Greene County.
