FAIRBORN — Motorists who use State Route 235 and Xenia Drive coming from Interstate 675 to get into Fairborn will face rerouting as the roadway is scheduled for a one week closure at the railroad crossing.

Norfolk Southern Railroad will make intersection improvements on the railway, and vehicles will not be able to cross the tracks beginning Monday, Nov. 9 through Friday, Nov. 13.

During this time, drivers coming from I-675 should instead exit at either the Dayton-Yellow Springs Road exit (one exit south of SR 235) or the Broad Street/444 exit (one exit north of SR 235) when heading toward downtown Fairborn.

As indicated by the detour map, north-bound traffic on SR-235 will be re-routed through Yellow Springs-Fairfield Road and Black Lane up to Broad Street. Southbound traffic on SR-235 will be re-routed through SR-444 and W Dayton Yellow Springs Road.

Any questions regarding the work or detour can be addressed by contacting the City of Fairborn Engineering Division at 937-754.3055.
