Perry on preseason all-SIAC team

ATLANTA — Central State University’s Kourtni Perry was selected to the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women’s basketball preseason all-conference team Tuesday. A media panel also voted on the predicted order of finish in each SIAC division. Central State plays in the SIAC West and was picked to finish fifth in the eight-team division. Kentucky State was picked first followed by LeMoyne-Owen, Spring Hill, Stillman, CSU, Tuskegee, Miles, and Lane.

In the East Division, Albany State is the choice to win the division followed by Benedict, Claflin, Paine, Clark Atlanta, and Fort Valley State.

Central State will begin its 2015-‘16 women’s college basketball season on Oct. 21 with a 7 p.m. home exhibition game with Cincinnati Christian University, in the Beacom-Lewis Gymnasium in Wilberforce.
