FAIRBORN – The Fairborn City School District approved a resolution June 29 to apply for an active planning process with the Ohio School Facilities Commission Classroom Facilities Assistance program.
The school district is working with SHP Leading Design to assist with the planning process. The district developed a strategic plan, which is available for the community to review. FCS will include ballot in the March 2016 election for an emergency renewal levy. If successful, the district will then be on the ballot with a bond issue in November 2016 for new or a combination of new/renovated buildings. Community forums, which are open to the public, will be held on the following dates:
– 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15 in the Fairborn Primary School auditorium;
– 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19 in the Fairborn Intermediate School gymnasium;
– 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, 2015 in the Fairborn High School auditorium.
