Fairborn FairTax group hosting meeting

FAIRBORN – The Fairborn FairTax group will hold its monthly meeting beginning 6:30 p.m. Thrusday, Sept. 17 at Roush’s Family Restaurant, 305 W. Main St. The meeting is expected to wrap-up at 8 p.m.

Guest speaker this month is (I) Senatorial candidate Tom Connors. He will be present to give a short speech and answer any and all questions on whatever topic attendees find important. He is giving attendees an option to the two main stream party candidates: (D and former Gov.)Ted Strickland and (R incumbent) Rob Portman.

Tom Connors is a lawyer with more than thirty years of experience in business, government and individual cases. He is a graduate of John Carroll University, where he studied sociology and philosophy. He then went on to study law at Case Western Reserve University and Cleveland State University, while serving as a bailiff at the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas. He is a member of the Stark County Bar Association, where he has served on the Technology and Courts Committees. He is also a member of the Ohio Bar Association, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Stark County Library.

In addition, Connors serves in the JAG Corps of the United States naval Reserve attaining the rank of Commander. He served on active duty from 1980 to 1984 as a prosecutor, defense counsel and command advisor. His reserve duty has been active since 1984.
