Viki Lynn’s School of Dance


DAYTON – Viki Lynn’s School of Dance is located in Dayton-Riverside, 611 Spinning Road just minutes from WPAFB, Beavercreek, Kettering and Fairborn.

Viki Lynn’s School of Dance will host an Open House 12-3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15 and Sunday, Aug. 16. Check out the dance studio. Watch the DVD or recital, which is held at the beautiful Victoria Theatre. This event will help parents select the best classes for their children. Find out about multiple class discounts. The more classes you take, the less you pay per class. “Steppin Up” will be at the Open House with a nice selection of shoes, leotards, and other dance wear.

“Our goal is to encourage and inspire the students to strive for excellence while having fun. The experienced, caring, qualified faculty offer structured classes, teaching proper technique. We use creative ways to present new steps and technique concepts so the students enjoy learning the art of dance. Students discover their personal best, and gain confidence and self-discipline. We also encourage the students to learn the skill of listening, and following instructions. The lessons learned in our dance classes will serve them throughout their school years, and throughout their lives,” said Viki Lynn.

Viki Lynn is an award winning choreographer and teacher with more than 45 years teaching experience. She as studied with some of the top dancers in their fields in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles and Hawaii. She was president of Miami Valley Dance Teachers Association for many years. She has achieved honorary member status of that organization. Many of her students have gone on to various professional careers in dance.

“We’re proud of what we do here, there are viewing windows to all classes,” she said.


Kinderdance is for students ages 3 and 4. At Viki Lynn’s the little ones are a very important part of our dance family. The class is created just for them. It’s a structured class, but making learing dance fun. The students dance to cute little songs which are designed to improve body awareness and coordination.


Tap classes are for ages 5 and up. Tap is a fun way to develop rhythm, improve coordination and express yourself through your feet.


Ballet is for ages 5 and up. Mature 4 year olds with kinderdance experience are accepted.

The study of ballet helps develop a strong foundation in dance. Students gain strength, flexibility, poise and confidence.


Acrobat is for ages 4 and up. Acrobat classes consist of both mat tumbling and acrobat. Students work on flexibility in the back and legs, as well as strength and control.


Jazz classes are for ages 7 and up. Dance to current music, learning various jazz styles.

Hip Hop

HIP hop students learn various styles of hip hop, street dance.


Tahitian/Hawaiian classes are for age 8 and up. Study Tahitian and Hawaiian dance. Students work with Poi Balls, Ipu and many other implements.
