Farm forum meeting scheduled

XENIA — Jim Byrd will share his perspective on yard trees and what can be done with them at the Monday, Aug. 24 Greene County Farm Forum meeting. Byrd owns and operates a portable Woodmiser Sawmill, which he uses to saw trees into boards and other useable forms of lumber. Byrd will be able to show homeowners how they can use wood from yard trees for purposes other than firewood.

The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be held at Union United Methodist Church located at 393 Washington Road, Xenia. The cost of the meal is $10 per person. Those who plan to attend the meal are asked to RSVP with Paul Ayres before Friday, Aug. 21. No reservations are necessary if an attendee wishes to only attend the meeting portion of the evening.
