FAIRBORN — There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony 1 p.m. July 31 at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base to celebrate the completion of the 260,000 square foot multi-phase hospital renovation project that began January 2012.

The project upgraded more than 30 clinical areas and nine surgical operating suites. In addition, one operating suite was outfitted with a state-of-the-art Siemens Artis Q-biplane system, which is the first hybrid operating room in Dayton.

The upgrades are expected to improve patient care, staff and energy efficiency, and patient and staff morale. Guided tours and a reception will immediately follow the ceremony.
