Sheridans set to open new facility

Greene County News Report

CEDARVILLE — Sheridan & Associates will be opening a new building in August.

The 8,900 square-foot Cedar Land Event Center near downtown Cedarville will be the primary home for auctions conducted by Sheridan & Associates, which conducts more than 50 auctions per year.

The new complex, a $1 million investment by brothers, Matt Sheridan & Bart Sheridan, will also house the company headquarters of Sheridan & Associates, a regional real estate, auction, and appraisal company.

The Cedar Land Event Center will be available for rent for area banquets and events of all types for eastern Greene County and the surrounding areas. This event center includes a kitchen, a free wireless hotspot, and has an occupancy exceeding 400 people.

The new building will bring an average of 150 to 300 people to Cedarville for every auction. This is expected to be a big boost to the economy of the Village of Cedarville, according to Sheridan & Associates.

The August grand opening is a culmination of 3 years of planning by the Sheridans. The property was formerly owned by TruPointe Cooperative, an agricultural coop with local offices in Xenia and South Charleston. The Sheridans purchased the property at auction in July 2013 and soon after began working with Brentwood Builders on a construction plan.

Events and auctions are already being scheduled for the new facility. Anyone interested in visiting or renting this state of the art facility can contact Sheridan & Associates at 937-767-2021.
