FAIRBORN — A suspect has been charged with murder in relation to a fatal stabbing that took place in a Fairborn apartment complex Wednesday night. According to a news release from the Fairborn Police Department, Joseph Jenkins has been charged with first-degree felony murder following a police investigation.
The victim in the stabbing, Andre Winston, 38, of Beavercreek, was transported to Miami Valley Hospital Wednesday night, where he was pronounced deceased. The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office has deemed the stabbing a homicide. The incident took place at an apartment located near Williams Street and Wallace Drive.
Jenkins, 44, of Fairborn, is currently in custody at the Fairborn City Jail on $250,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is set for July 30 in Fairborn Municipal Court.
