CLIFTON — Four people were rescued after falling and becoming stuck at Clifton Gorge State Nature Preserve Tuesday evening.
According to WDTN, dispatchers said they received the call around 7:30 p.m. Officials told the television station the group was trying to get to a creek to swim when a one of them fell down a 66-foot drop. Three others slid down the cliff to try to get to her.
Firefighters were able to pull all four from the bottom of the cliff. It’s unclear the severity of the injury but officials say she is stable.
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources said the four are between 16-22 years old.
Clifton Gorge sits just off Clifton Road and Wilberforce-Clifton Road near the Village of Clifton.
