Fairborn church to hold festival

FAIRBORN – Mary, Help of Christians will hold its 42nd Annual Summer Festival July 17-19. The festival will take place 6-11 p.m. Friday, July 17; 2-11 p.m. Saturday and 1-6 p.m. Sunday, on the grounds of Mary, Help of Christians Church located at 954 North Maple Ave.

The festival has many different activities for all ages as well as an awesome selection of great food and beverages. There will be carnival rides for kids, bingo, raffle drawings, a children’s game tent, and for the more adventurous there is the gambling tent. There will also be a collection of books, clothes and household items for purchase.

The church’s second annual 5K Walk/Run will take place at 9 a.m. July 18. All runners will receive a T-shirt and adult participants will also get a free festival food coupon. Cost is $25 for runners 18 years and older and $15 for those 17 and younger.

Registration information can be found at keysports.net. If you are just looking for a more relaxing time you can purchase a beer or margaritas and listen to the bands playing Friday and Saturday evening or Sunday afternoon.
