Remembering Charles A. Bone


XENIA — “A good ole country boy” who came to town and made a success of himself described Charles A. Bone, born in Xenia in 1891. He started as a bookkeeper at Dodds Monument Company, became a salesman traveling throughout Ohio, Indiana, Michigan and other states, and later became sold owner of the company. He was a Sunday School superintendent for thirty years, president of the Draft Board for six year, president of the Xenia Board of Education for twelve years, president of the Xenia City Commission and past president and charter member of the Xenia Kiwanis Cub. He died in 1977.
