WILBERFORCE – Dr. Jana Adams has been named administrative assistant for the Doctor of Ministry Office (DMin) at Payne Theological Seminary.

In this newly created position, Adams will support program mentors, students, and staff through a variety of tasks related to recruiting and retaining DMin students. She has taught Christian education for the seminary’s lay school for more than 15 years.

Prior to her new appointment, she was the director of Christian education at College Hill Presbyterian Church and Bethel Baptist Church, both in Dayton.

“Beyond Jana’s impressive resume and DMin student background, she brings with her an inclusive spirit and a proven track record of program management,” said Dr. J.T. Robeson, director of Payne’s DMin program. “We’re confident that her talents will help our program move toward its mission.”

Adams holds a bachelor of arts degree from The College of Wooster in Wooster; a master of arts degree from The Ohio State University; a master of religious education from the former Presbyterian School of Christian Education in Richmond, Va.; and a doctorate of ministry from United Theological Seminary in Dayton.
