Children’s garden series scheduled

XENIA — Children will discover the magic of gardening through books at Greene County Parks & Trails’ “Storybook Gardens” program series. The events will take place from 10-11:30 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 17 and 24, as well as Oct. 1, 8, 15 and 22 at Russ Nature Reserve, 2380 Kemp Road, Beavercreek.

Young gardeners between the ages of three and six will read “Too Many Pumpkins” and “From Seed to Sunflower” while learning to garden.

Children should be dressed to work in the garden. The cost for the program series is $30 or $8 for each individual session.
