Remembering Aaron Coy

BEAVERCREEK – Born in Greene County in 1846, he continued to live on the farm where he was born. The farm which consisted of 163 acres was located on the Dayton-Xenia Road in Beavercreek. When he began working on the farm, only about 9 acres had been cleared, so he set out with his axe to clear more land. In 1863, he bought a 96 acre tract not far from the original property where he remained until his death. He was also a minister of the Brethren Church at Zimmerman, a position he held for 35 years.
