Trophy given to local firefighters and EMTs


Linda Collins | Greene County News Seven members of the Enon/Mad River Township Fire and EMS Department were presented with a trophy at a previous Mad River Township meeting after competing in the 2nd Annual “Heroes vs. Breast Cancer” softball championship.


In September, softball teams from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Enon Police Department, Hustead Fire and EMS, Community Mercy Hospice, the Dayton Nurses Network, and Enon /Mad River Township Fire and EMS, joined forces in the fight against breast cancer and competed in the single-elimination softball tournament. The annual fundraiser raised $1,400 this year to benefit Pink Ribbon Girls.
