XENIA — Jack and Carolyn Schafer will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary Jan. 6, 2017.

The couple was married Jan. 6, 1952 at the Fairborn Methodist Church. Jack is retired from Polycel in Dayton. Carolyn is retired from K-mart as a pharmacy technician.

They have three children, J. Thomas and Vicki Schafer; Debra L. Schafer and Michael and Dorina Schafer and six grandchildren, Bethany and Jesse Rubio; Carissa and Randy Haines; Jessica Schafer; Ty and Jacquie Stollings and Andrew and Alex Schafer. They also have five great-grandchildren, Malachi Thomas and Mason Jesse Rubio; Cassidy Marie and Carter Eugene Haines; and Brody Gene Stollings.
